2/10/06 – Will the Nets Deal the Spurs a Tough Loss?

Comments Off

Best: Spurs @ Nets: A finals rematch of three years ago. There’s no Mutumbo or Martin to stop Duncan this time so who will do it? Jason Kidd is returning to his old self, which is good since Carter is just as suited to run the floor as K-Mart. New Jersey beat Miami and Detroit in the last week so they should be accustomed to facing tough teams. For those of you gambling on this game, take the Nets. Predicted Score: New Jersey wins 85-82

Runner-up: Knicks @ Hornets: The frantic style of the New York Knicks should be easily matched by the Hornets. Marbury and Chris Paul should be an interesting match-up. But a sleeper rookie has been David West who has become a very solid outside shooter. Predicted Score: New Orleans/Oklahoma City wins 100-95

Blowout: Hawks @ Sonics: Atlanta would be able to match Seattle’s pace if not for the slew of turnovers they commit. Rashard Lewis on Harrington. Luke Ridnour on Tyrone Lue. There are some serious mismatches. A young team like Atlanta should be running it up the floor. But Atlanta only gets 95 a game, so Seattle should run right through them. Predicted Score: Seattle wins 114-93

I am your perfect man. That i am the one who rubs your feet, running my fingers through your hair until you fall asleep. sympathizing with you as you speak about life’s problems you face. When my food is good i will always let you taste. I kiss you ever so gently while holding you in my arms. Never allowing any other female to be influenced by my charm. But show you what it means to have a man that is strong. You will want to follow my lead for my lead is guided to success. While our family and selves will be blessed.www.originalpoetry.com

I’m A Villa Fan And I’m Scared!

Comments Off

It’s fair to say that the past twenty-five years of following Aston Villa Football Club has come with its fair share of ups and downs.

But I can honestly say I have never looked forward to a new football season with such an overwhelming feeling of pessimism.

I was fortunate enough to be born just in time to appreciate the glory years of the early eighties. The team built by Ron Saunders and then nurtured by Tony Barton brought much joy and happiness to at least half the city of Birmingham.

Unfortunately those days now seem an eternity ago and things are much different. I’m still trying to work out how Doug Ellis bought the champions of Europe in the summer of 1982 and then proceeded to guide them to relegation in just five years. That must surely be some kind of record.

These days things are only slightly better. The continual decline under David O’Leary’s guidance is causing serious cause for concern amongst the Villa faithful.

The final third of last season produced some of the worst football seen at Villa Park for some time and relegation fears were only dispelled in the final week of the season.

The only team worse than Villa at the end was Sunderland and they finished with the lowest points tally since the Premiership started.

The only highlight of a dreadful season was the derby victories over Birmingham, ultimately crucial in the battle for survival points.

The lack of transfer activity due to the never-ending take-over saga is a serious problem and one that could haunt the club come the end of the season.

But for now, we Villa fans can only cross our fingers and hope. O’Leary’s promise that last season’s dismal position was a one off has bought him extra time from Ellis, but many fans remain distinctly unconvinced.

Traditional Archery And Target Panic: Under Pressure

Comments Off

For several years I battled a terrible case of target panic, trying every possible cure available and even inventing a few of my own. I experienced some success with a few of the methods I tried. After one such case, I decided to test it in the ultimate target panic testing environment: An archery tournament. I entered the tournament relatively confident that I could control my target panic symptoms that included, among others, freezing and a premature release.

Shooting in an archery tournament is the an excellent test because you are shooting in front of your peers and while under pressure to perform. Both of these situations tend to cause target panic symptoms to flare up. In some cases, it can cause a complete breakdown and render the target panic sufferer unable to even draw their bow back.

With some trepidation, I walked down to the first target with seven other traditional archers. The tournament was open to all styles of archery, but drew mostly compound archers. As such, most of the targets were well out of range of the traditional shooters. The first target was a ridiculous 70 yards and as I took my stance and readied to draw my bow, I could feel the eyes of the other competitors on me. Luckily, I was able to draw, hold, and release without the outward signs of target panic. However, I could definitely feel a tremendous urge to release early lurking in the background. This first target was to be my best performance of the day.

The rest of the day I struggled mightily and soon it became obvious to all around me that I had a serious target panic problem. I wanted to quit and throw my bow and arrows in the garbage can on the way out, but my sense of self-respect precluded me from doing so. I kept my head down and continued slogging away target after target. I became so wrapped up in my own troubles that it wasn’t until the last few targets that I noticed something peculiar in my shooting companions. I began to watch them closely as they took turns shooting at the final few targets. What I saw surprised me at the time, though now I know it to be quite common; they too were target panic sufferersevery one of them. I saw shaking, flinching, short draws, and snap shots. Despite being eye opening, this realization didn’t make me feel any better. I still had target panic and unless I found a sure-fire cure, I was going to suffer from it for a long time.

We flung our wayward arrows at the last target and said our goodbyes while avoiding the giant unspoken elephant that we were all suffering from the same affliction. As I sat alone in my car feeling not a small amount of humiliation, I decided that I would never go through that experience again. I was more determined than ever to find a cure for my target panic.

Not long after, I was able to cure my target panic completely and permanently using a technique called the Push Release.

Computer Slow Processing Problems

This is not an uncommon problem these days when a computer got stuck up in performing some tasks or operations.

The basic reasons behind this problems as follows:

Tons of unwanted software installed in the computers. Try to remove unwanted software in the computer. Sometime some crucial files required for running these programs or software may get deleted or corrupted, so it results in hanging up your PC.

UEFA Champions League Final Preview

Comments Off

As all the major domestic leagues have wrapped up, the Champions League final in Paris is the last major soccer event before this year’s World Cup. The Stade de France is a fitting location for both participating clubs, Arsenal and Barcelona. Barca’s enigmatic leader Ronaldinho started his European career with Paris Saint-Germain five years ago. For an Arsenal squad with a French coach and several players with roots in that country, Paris is a suitable setting for this final.

The current odds on which team will lift the trophy (including extra time and penalties) are as follows:

Barcelona -188

Arsenal +175

Barcelona are clear favourites and nobody is surprised to see them here. They are arguably the strongest team in Europe, and with names like Ronaldinho, Eto-o, Deco, Larsson, Messi, Giuly and Puyol that is hard to dispute. Barca are a supreme threat offensively, netting 22 goals in their 12 Champions League games this season. They exude skill and have no trouble displaying their bucket loads of talent game after game.

Having clinched the Primera Liga title comfortably, lifting the Champions League trophy would be a satisfying end to Barcelona’s season. They are unbeaten in their last 12 games in this competition and come into this match with a full and healthy squad. Led by Ronaldinho, FIFA’s World Footballer of the Year, Barca will be disappointed with anything less than victory.

This was to be a rebuilding year for Arsenal. Instead of splashing out on new players, they opted to save money ahead of their move into the new Emirates Stadium next year. That was clearly evidenced by a disappointing year in the Premiership, and eventual fourth-place finish.

But that certainly wasn’t the case in the Champions League. Arsenal took command and breezed through the group stage. But their performance in the knockout rounds was even more impressive as they didn’t concede a single goal – that against the likes of Villarreal, Juventus and Real Madrid no less. Indeed, Arsenal let in only two goals in their 12 Champions League games this season.

For the Gunners, it was something of a reversal of form. In the past few years, while Arsenal were lighting up the Premiership, they struggled in the Champions League. Now coach Arsene Wenger has come up with a winning formula in Europe that is based on discipline and organization.

A London club has never before reached the final of this tournament. But Barcelona have never won the Champions League either – a serious disappointment for a club of their stature. Whatever happens, this is set to be a dream final no matter where your allegiance lies.

Razor Batteries

What’s available, and how to keep it new

Electric razors are a wonderful invention, but can be quite
costly. It is important to know how to keep you razor in good
condition so it will last a long time and will save you the
expense of purchasing a new one. The right type of razor battery
and the right type of charger can help to maintain an electric
razor and save money in the long run.

There are several familiar brands that make some great electric
razors. Braun, Remington, and Norelco all have very good electric razors.
Norelco’s new razors have a jet clean and charge system, an all
in one set up that helps maintain the quality of the razor.
Remington razors have titanium, self-sharpening blades that help
maintain the best performance. The Braun razors also boast a
cleaning system, and a special design that captures more hair
than ever.

Razors typically use an Nickel Metal Hydride or NiMH battery.
NiMH is a newer technology in portable appliance batteries that
holds twice the capacity of its traditional counterpart. NiMH
batteries do not suffer from the memory effect. They are also
more environmentally friendly because they do not contain heavy
metals. The batteries are usually not that expensive, around $10
to $20, which is much better than purchasing a new razor for
$100 or more.

Since the NiMH batteries do not suffer from the memory effect,
charging is not as much of an issue. With most razors, you
simply just place it on the charger after use and do not think
about it again.

Protect your investment, take care of your razor, and buy the
best razor
batteries. It will help your razor maintain performance for
years to come.

MLM Training- MLM Recruiter? MLM Sponsor? MLM Baby Sitter? M

Whta type of role are you playing in Network marketing as far as recruiting? Read on- this is HOT!

There are many Leadership factors involved in building an mlm downline, but none are more frustrating than the roles a Network Marketing Leader can play when recruiting and engaging a new person in this business.

We have a tendency to go from one extreme to the other. Ignoring the new person to practically living with them, and everything in between.

There are 4 basic “leading” roles that you establish with your new person. As a Network Marketing Leader, you may move through all of these roles with each person you bring into your MLM organization.

1) The Recruiter.
2) The Sponsor.
3) The Baby Sitter.
4) The Mentor.

1) The MLM Recruiter

So what exactly IS the difference between a recruiter and a sponsor?

INFERNO Secret:

I have always taught that recruiting is getting them in, and sponsoring is keeping them in. One is a defined process for getting them signed up the other is growing their greatness in this business.

I never really got into a hairsplitting term. Call recruiting what you want, but understand:

INFERNO Secret:

Network Marketing Recruiting is the Education and Influence Process of getting to the point of when you become their sponsor, and a lot people who recruit folks in this business forget the sponsor part.

MLM Recruiting can be simply running the numbers, but that is how the average distributor does it. A Leader recruits to become a great sponsor and to build a long term relationship. Recruiting is the first phase of the MLM Leader Role, and Sponsoring is the second.

2) The MLM Sponsor, is the second.

When you have recruited them into your business, now you are their sponsor.

INFERNO Secret:

There is a reason why the word sponsor and responsibility have the same root word. It is your responsibility to become the Leader they need to create an environment for greatness, and for creating independence in your people.

That is Priority One!

You must get them trained. A recruiter rarely takes the time for that because recruiters are focused on recruiting, not growing., signing them up, not growing them up. A Leader always grows people first, then the business.

INFERNO Secret:

Growing people produces the biggest MLM Success harvest in this MLM business!

Be a great sponsor and take your new distributors where they want to go, but remember to also take them to the level of success you want them to lead them to.

3) The MLM Babysitter

Ahhh! This is the sponsor who does everything for their downline, and completely disables their distributors and cripples their growth.

You want to do it all. You don’t think anyone can do it as good as you, and so, you do it all. And what happens?

INFERNO Secret:

Babysitting creates a downline of babies. They never grow into their greatness in this business. They crawl through this business, and eventually out of it.

You as a Leader must become a great sponsor, but understand there is a HUGE difference between Sponsoring someone, and Spoon Feeding them.

IFERNO Secret:

Create a GROWTH environment – not a Kindergarten.

As you mature your people in this business, so matures your mlm business ultimately.

4) The MLM Mentor

This is the Pinnacle of the Role you play in the development of your Leaders, but here is a tip:

INFERNO Secret:

Mentor those who DESERVE it — not those who DESIRE it.

Your ultimate goal as a sponsor is to create a non-stop network marketing success machine. The only way you can do that is to choose 4-5 people in your group to mentor for greatness.

Choose people who have really stepped up to the bat and proven they are SERIOUS about their building this mlm business. Make sure they have shown you that they are worthy of you taking them under your wing and paying very special attention to them in Network Marketing.

Take them under your wing for a year and solidify and grow them into their greatness. Not by totally building it for them, as there are some things they must learn from experience, but totally supporting them in all phases of their business and growth through training, building, supporting, and BEING THERE for them. And creating an extraordinary relationship that will last a lifetime.

INFERNO Secret:

Mentoring in MLM is not for the weak-hearted.

In Network Marketing,it takes effort, discipline, a lot of caring, and also a ton of giving on your part.

You will have trying times, just like in any relationship. But you must understand that if you mentor a select few folks, they can create an enormous network marketing business with you, and will be maximized in this mlm industry. And will stay with you during the tough times. (and there will be some.)

The Recruiter grows In-discouragement.

The Sponsor grows Independence.

The Baby Sitter grows Dependence.

The Mentor grows Interdependence.

INFERNO Secret:

The Power of MLM lies in Interdependence.

And, it is true.

ALL great Leaders in this industry have mentored a select few special people in their downline to extreme success, in MLM and Network Marketing.

Ten Tips on Handicapping the Kentucky Derby

Comments Off

Here is the Top 10 list of what to do or when handicapping the 132nd Kentucky Derby Dave Letterman style, so pay attention:

10. Don’t wait until Derby Day to decide what you can afford to wager and the kind of bets you will make. Set a total dollar amount and stick to it, win or lose, unless one of your selections is scratched.

9. Don’t try to assimilate so much information that you become confused. Stay with the handicapping formula that works best for you.

8. Thoroughbreds that did not race as a 2-year-old have not smelled the roses since the 19th Century. Apollo did it in 1882. Other winners of Triple Crown races that year: Vanguard in the Preakness and Forester in the Belmont.

7. No runner with only four career outings has won since Exterminator in 1918. There were so many horses (26) in that year’s Preakness, it was run in two divisions. The winners: War Cloud and Jack Hare Jr.

6. Avoid horses with a pedigree that does not display both stamina and speed. In 19 of the past 131 derbies, 13 horses with Buckpasser in their bloodline finished first or second. Ironically, quarter-cracks kept him off the Triple Crown trail, but he won 13 in a row after running second in his 3-year-old debut. His victories in 1966 included the Travers, the American Derby, the Woodward, the and Jockey Gold Cup.

5. Only one horse has visited the winner’s circle without taking a stakes race during his or her early career since Proud Clarion in 1967: Giacomo last year.

4. The last winner after running fifth or worse in the final prep was Iron Liege in 1957. Only two horses that were fourth in their last prep since the 1950s won: Thunder Gulch in 1995 and Sea Hero in 1993, both in the Blue Grass.

3. Since 1947, only Sunny’s Halo won off two preps – the 1983 Rebel Stakes and Arkansas Derby. Forget about horses with one or no stateside preps.

2. Don’t waste your money betting the post time favorite to win. Since Spectacular Bid lived up to his odds in 1979, only two have done the same: Smarty Jones in 2004 and Fusaichi Pegasus in 2000. Trifectas offer much bigger returns even when one or two low-priced horses hit the board.

1. Forget about the horse-for-the-course angle. In the past decade, no 3-year-old that had one or more starts at Churchill Down repeated in the Run for the Roses. The average finish of nearly 50 runners, including 21 that had previously won over the main track, was well off the board.
