I went to Jamaica with my boyfriend and two other couples, friends from our suburb whom we meet almost every weekend. We were able to rent snorkeling equipment from our hotel and explore the sites close to the coast. Tisha and Eric had to be dragged back to the hotel for lunch and dinner, so reluctant were they to leave the underwater world that fascinated them. As for me, swimming with the dolphins at Dolphin Lagoon is an experience I will remember as long as I live.

Jamaica’s Seven Mile Beach in Negril and the beaches of Ochos Rios were beautiful too, but we found Mo Bay more to our liking. None of us was keen on nude sunbathing, so Negril’s nude beaches or topless beaches did not interest us. In Ochos Rios, river rafting down White river was an exhilarating experience. Thanks to our fitness routine, we did not find the bicycle tour of the Blue Mountains as tiring as the others in our group claimed it to be.

I can’t believe it took at least 3 months of rain and more snow before we could see the sun in this part of the country. Time to get out the gardening supplies and get to work.
