A major change in hospitality and airline travel was sparked off by Nicholas Bredimus, who led them to the computer world to produce a new way to do business. His career highlights include effort-saving computer software, aircraft safety developments, and he’s even involved in designing high value homes.

Glancing at Mr Nicholas Bredimus‘ pedigree anyone could predict he was a lock to rise to distinction. With roots back to the days of Rome, in fact Bredimus’ ancestry ties in with much of Europe. On his mother’s side, on the one hand, he can boast Scottish and German stock. The paternal line, in contrast, hailed from present day Luxembourg and England, from where his forebears ultimately came to America in the late 1800s. And following arrival in America, the family retained its drive and determination to go far. Nicholas, as well as his two brothers and four sisters, was born to a father who earned a living as a mechanical design engineer and his spouse, a nurse. He went on to dwell in the Lone Star State for a number of years as well as in Kansas City, MO, Reston, VA and Scottsdale, AZ.

Once his schooling was complete, Bredimus would sign up for quite a few high-powered jobs for many of the strongest and most acclaimed firms in the airline industry. These included the Vice Presidential position for Hughes Airwest, Republic Airlines, and, of course, Trans World Airlines (TWA). An industrious software designer, his innovations in airline computer programs are probably his best regarded contribution to the industry. He is best known for a project for US Airways, namely his aircraft maintenance management applications that can be found being used by the majority of air carrier companies. He would go on to examine making and recording reservations. For both air travel and hotels he developed software to handle most of the work necessary before that point. Applying what he had learned to a connected field, he developed a networking program to help with ticketing — another remarkable masterpiece.

Bredimus employed these achievements to move into roles less connected to software design. With his own firm — Bredimus Systems — as a Division Manager with American Express, and as the founding president of AMR Travel Services his career speaks for itself.

But is he still active? Decidedly so — his savvy is still highly ready to answer the call despite his having left prior interests in the past. Now, he designs and builds luxurious houses deploying some of the most advanced eco and smart technology to be found anywhere. That indefatigable energy we’ve highlighted here just does not stop anytime soon…
