Regular Women at Last Recognised by the Fashion Industry

Now in 2010, I suppose those who control the fashion trends have eventually realised the facts of clothing sizes. Although it was only a few years before where you had to either thrust yourself into little sized fashion clothing, these days we have the alleviation of plus size. Fashion accessories like babydoll lingerie (available in large sizes) make it a lot easier on the normal lady to locate a size that matches her.
I think it’s down to the market deciding what it wants – the everyday size of women and men in Britain has expanded through the decades, and even though fashion brands have been a bit idle in reacting, they eventually realise that earnings are created from giving the market what it wants.
Not only that, I’ve seen a switch in fashion in the direction of practicality. Gone are the trends of ludicrous stilettoe heels and shoulder pads; now it’s perfectly acceptible to personalise your style without being pronounced a freak – which really makes the high street and nightspots much more interesting places! This in itself has become a tremendous boost for the smaller fashion shops who can supply to fashion niches happening.
